skrawek Very chill, slightly hazy sounding Detroit house music, with an almost microhouse sort of feel at times... these tracks are deceptively minimal, but all feature multiple interesting and evolving rhythms with different elements drifting in and out of the mix... it's a very tasteful and understated record, I highly recommend this one! Favorite track: On The Floor.

Chilean born Detroit based producer Phil Hannett offers up his new ‘0010999’ EP via his own Fraxt Records
early April, comprising four original raw cuts.
Phil Hannett was born in Chile but found his artistic home in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan in the USA,
the birthplace of Techno music and home to many revered House musicians too. The sound of the motor city
has been instilled into Hannett’s music which comes out his Akai MPC2000, embracing a raw and rugged feel
throughout.

Up first on this new EP is ‘4AM’, a murky atmospheric slice of house fuelled by haunting pads, heavily swung
dusty drums and gritty stab sequences before ‘Just Another Day’ shifts gear into jazz tinged house territory via
wandering keys, breathy vocal chops, bouncy chords and a sturdy rhythmic drive.
‘On The Floor’ follows next with bumpy saturated drums, plucked bass tones, choppy key samples and
stuttering voices all intricately unfolding and developing across the track’s seven and a half minute duration.
Title-track ‘0010999’ then concludes the release on a refined and reduced tip, fusing skippy percussion and an
amalgamation of vocal cuts with fluttering bass notes and airy chord stabs.
